Editorial Standards

Our commitment to providing accurate, evidence-based, and trustworthy health information to help you make informed healthcare decisions.

What we are, what we are not

OurHealthNetwork is an independent healthcare data platform. We aggregate, structure, and present public federal datasets — primarily from CMS, FDA, and CDC — into a unified, searchable directory covering 5.5 million US healthcare providers, 84 insurance networks, 119 million insurance acceptance records, 1,779 prescription drugs, 1,180 medical conditions, and 51 state and county health reports.

We do not write medical opinions. We do not review patient cases. We do not dispense medical advice. For clinical decisions, see a clinician. Every page on this site is an aggregated view of public federal data, with the source dataset, publication date, and our refresh date visible on every data-driven page.

Our author and publisher across all content is OurHealthNetwork as an Organization. We rely on the authority of the federal sources we cite, not on individual medical authorship.

OurHealthNetwork is independent. We are not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, the FDA, the CDC, or any provider, hospital system, or insurer whose data we present. We republish public records as they are published and do not alter the underlying data.

Reading order: dataset, what we use it for, the month we last imported it from the publisher, and how often we expect the publisher to release a new version. A "Last refresh" of "—" means the dataset has not yet been auto-tracked in our refresh pipeline (typically annual datasets like Open Payments).

How We Create Content

1

Research from Authoritative Sources

Our health content is researched from peer-reviewed medical literature, clinical guidelines from professional medical associations, and government health agencies. We prioritize the most current and evidence-based information available.

2

Alignment with Clinical Guidelines

Information about medical conditions, treatments, and when to see a specialist is aligned with guidelines published by each specialty's primary professional organization (such as AAD for dermatology or ACC for cardiology).

3

Regular Updates

Medical knowledge evolves constantly. We regularly review and update our content to reflect current medical consensus. Each page displays when it was last updated.

4

Transparency

We cite our sources on each specialty page so you can verify information and explore topics further. Our goal is to empower you with knowledge, not to replace professional medical advice.

Government Health Agencies

We also reference information from trusted federal health agencies:

Our Commitment

OurHealthNetwork is dedicated to providing accurate, up-to-date health information to help patients make informed decisions about their healthcare. We believe everyone deserves access to clear, reliable information about medical specialists, conditions, and treatments.

The health information on OurHealthNetwork is provided for educational and informational purposes only. It is not intended to be a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always seek the advice of your physician or other qualified health provider with any questions you may have regarding a medical condition.

If you think you may have a medical emergency, call your doctor or 911 immediately. OurHealthNetwork does not recommend or endorse any specific tests, physicians, products, procedures, opinions, or other information that may be mentioned on this site.

Data accuracy, corrections, and removals

Provider, facility, insurance, and payment information on this site is aggregated from public federal datasets and presented as published by those sources. We republish these records faithfully and present them factually — we do not editorialize about any individual or organization. Source data can contain errors, omissions, or out-of-date entries; we show the source dataset and our refresh date on every data-driven page so you can verify it directly with the publisher.

If you believe any information is inaccurate or out of date, you can request a correction through our contact page. We review every request.

Healthcare providers may also request removal of their listing. After a short verification step to confirm the request is genuine, the profile is removed from our directory and the associated records are deleted from our database. Removals are honored on all subsequent data refreshes.
